By registering in the Noosa Skate 2025 clinics and competitions, you are agreeing to not hold the instructor/coach/volunteer or Noosa Council or the Skate Noosa 2025 event organisers liable for any injuries, harm or death that could occur during event Sunshine Showdown Vert Competition & Peregian Skate Day in the Park.
Noosa Council advises you that you MUST READ this document fully before agreeing to the terms as it is a waiver and indemnity for injuries, harm or death that may happen to you or your child during lessons.
By agreeing to these terms, you understand and acknowledge that you are indemnifying Noosa Council, coaches and the Skate Noosa 2025 Event Organising Committee against all actions or suits you may be entitled to bring against them for personal injuries, harm or death arising out of you or your child’s skateboarding lessons and competitions.
In consideration of being allowed to participate in skateboarding lessons, programs, competitions or events, the undersigned acknowledges, understands, and agrees that:
There is an inherent risk of injury from the activities involved in skateboard lessons, programs or events, including the potential for permanent disability or death, and while particular rules, safety equipment, instruction and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury to me/my child does exist; and I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, and I assume full responsibility for my/or my child’s participation and accept these risks; and I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If I observe any unusual or significant concern in my readiness for participation in skateboarding lessons, programs or events, I will advise the instructor / official and remove myself/my child from participation; and
I, for myself and on behalf of my/our heirs, assigns, personal representatives, persons under my guardianship and next of kin, hereby release Noosa Council, Skate Noosa 2025 Event Organising Committee, and, its owners, instructors/coaches, volunteers, officers, officials, agents, employees and/or sub-contractors, with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, loss or damage to person or property incident to my involvement or participation in skateboard lessons, programs or events, whether arising from the negligence of the releases or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I release the use of my/my child’s photograph or likeness for the purpose of promotion, including on social media platforms, of Noosa Skate 2025 by Noosa Council or the Skate Noosa Organising Committee
I understand and agree NO HELMET, NO RIDE if under 18 years of age and any other protective gear/equipment requested by the coach or event organisers

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
I WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS HAZARDOUS SPORT!
I AGREE TO ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL INJURIES AND MEDICAL EXPENSES INCURRED WHILE PARTICIPATING IN SKATEBOARD LESSONS, PROGRAMS OR EVENTS.
I attest that I/my child have no physical ailment which would preclude me or my child from this activity.
Privacy Statement
Noosa Shire Council is collecting your personal information to:
Provide services to you/your child, specifically skateboarding coaching clinics and activities. We are collecting your name, your child’s name and date of birth, phone number, and email address. Council is authorised to collect this information in accordance with the Local Government Act 2009 and associated laws. Council will only use the personal information collected for this purposes.
Access to your personal information will only be provided to appropriate Council employees and authorised officers and clinic coaches. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other party unless permitted or required by law. Council handles your personal information in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 (QLD).
